some good news for a change
There's been so much grim news about toddlers meeting gruesome fates here lately, I'm glad to have found at least one story with a happy ending. The Fresno Bee reports on a woman's encounter with a man who tried to kidnap her 18-month-old son from his stroller. As the mumbling man grabbed the kid, she kicked him in the groin and then delivered a palm heel strike to his face.
(cue Batman sound effects: Bif! Bam! Smak!)
The sudden beatdown prompted the man to drop the young boy, but the mother caught her son before he hit the ground. The toddler suffered only a bump on the head during the incident; the assailant ran off and has not been found. Police said the assailant's description is similar to that of someone who attempted to kidnap a five-year-old girl from a Fresno apartment in June.
