turkey bastes bush
This just in: The Turkish parliament has rejected the US
bribe offer that would have allowed US troops to be based near that country's border with Iraq, despite the Administration's sellout of the Kurds to the Turks. This is not the final move, of course, but it's still a significan blow to US prestige and a reminder of how much of the population of the entire planet is against this war, no matter how many leaders Bush is able to cajole or bribe into his "coalition of the billing."
Score another for Bush's crack diplomatic team.
