The Black Knight's Buffalo Ride
Sauer's ride interlocks with my Friday afternoon favorite ride through the Harrison County udder....
After crossing I-64 into Indiana, take the first exit and find your way to Hgwy 111..... This is still a fine road, even with the Caesar's construction...The best part is the last thirteen miles....Do not take the cutoff to Hgwy 211....Stay with 111 until it ends in New Boston...
Turn right onto Old Dam 43 Road, which is a honey that eventually ends @ Hgwy11...Turn left (South) and follow 11 for a few miles until you come to the fork with Hgwy 337...Go right on 337 (North) all the way into Corydon, then right on Hgwy 62....
A few miles out of town (shortly after the stone pillars marking the entrance to the Corydon Country Club), turn right onto the New Middletown Road, which you follow through New Middletown, then on to Elizabeth and Hgwy 11...take 11 North back to 62 East to I-64 East and home...
This can be a leisurely two hours, but can be stretched to four with food and some adventurous exploration....In season, Polly Freeze is the stop of choice, but I strongly recommend both Granny's and Magdelena's in Corydon....
Exploring? Lots of options for nifty little side roads, some of which are paved....

P.S. I usually manage to make a wrong turn in New Middletown, but it is worth it, especially if you want to see the buffalo farm.
