General. This is a pleasant, shorter route, which visits many of the roads used in other routes. No stores or support, except that a 2.6 mile trip into Alton on KY 512 takes you to nice country store.

Route Details

Start at the Flying J Truckstop, at exit 43 from I-64 (Waddy-Peytona)

Travel south briefly on KY 395, just past the older truckstop

Left on Bardstown Trail

Right at stop sign in Graefenburg on KY 1472

Left on Crawford Road (unmarked; it's the first left in Anderson County)

Right at stop sign in Avenstoke; go over RR tracks

Immediately left on KY 1875

Right at stop sign intersection with KY 512 (note: a left will take you into Alton, where there's a good country store)

Fast descent

Right on Benson Creek (unmarked; first paved right)

Right on KY 1472

Pass Pigeon Fork Baptist Church -- the headstones in the graveyard are worth a stop

Left on Ditto (unmarked -- first left after Pigeon Fork Baptist)

Right on KY 395 into Waddy (country store on left)

Continue on KY 395 to truck stop
