Mudlick Meander
33 miles, including a good radiator shop

General. This route follows some of the Timber Creek road, but connects up some different roads. It's a bit shorter than Timber Creek and I enjoyed getting a refill in my water bottle at the radiator shop one spring day.

Maps. Everything on this route is shown on page 36 of the DeLorme Kentucky Atlas. For county maps, take Shelby and Anderson counties.

Route Details

Note: the first segment follows the Timber Creek route to KY 512, via Avenstoke.

After about a mile, the road forks. Take the right fork, which is Mudlick Hollow. (The left fork takes you on the Timber Creek route, down to Highway 44.)

Follow Mudlick Hollow to the end; watch the funky turn over the bridge! At the end, turn right (north) on Crooked Creek.

[note: from here on, the finish of this ride follows the Timber Creek route.]

Follow Crooked Creek north to intersection with KY 395.

Left at stop sign on KY 395.

Right on 1472.

First left from 1472 on paved road onto Ditto Rd (no sign).

Right at T intersection onto KY 395 and return to truck stop of your choice.
