Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Does God hear and answer prayers? Yes. Two years ago I unexpectedly ended up in the hospital with pain so horrible I wanted to die. My pastor was called in to pray for me. He and my husband called every prayer chain they could think of to pray for me. The doctor more or less pronounced me dead from the tests he had done. Nevertheless, I survived a couple of hours so he put me into a regular hospital room, hooked me up to an IV that dripped powerful pain killer drugs, and told the staff not to revive me or even bother me much because I was going to die. I received no treatment except for prayers. For those of you who know about medical matters, I had an amalyse level of over 13,000. That is something like 99 times fatal. I walked out of the hospital 5 days later perfectly healthy. The entire medical staff at that hospital and another one who checked me out said it was impossible to survive what I had survived, that the medical journals didn't even have anything close to that kind of a case to compare it to. They decided that it was an anomaly. However, my children had come to the room to visit me and brought a poster of angels and hung it in my room, and christian came by to pray for me and did it openly. My doctor witnessed this. My doctor's conclusion; it was prayer that saved life, because he hadn't even tried. Keep praying for everyone under any and all circumstances; it works...God hears us. Thank and praise the Lord.

I am writing to ask all of you to pray for Emiko Morimoto and Yasutaka
Nakajima who are graduates of our American Baptist related Kanto Gakuin
University in Yokohama. Last August, Emiko and Yasutaka came to me, asking if I would marry them at the University chapel. When I ask them why they wanted a Christian wedding, both replied, "It seems to have more meaning than other wedding services." Knowing they were not Christians, I shared with them that it is important to know the Biblical meaning of the Christian wedding, and if they decided to meet with me weekly for marriage counseling, before their wedding March 7th, I would marry them (In 98 % of all Christian church weddings in Japan, one or both persons are not Christian). I asked them to think about this and notify me by the following week. To make a long story short, just before Christmas, Yasutaka asked me: "Would it be OK for us to be baptized before our wedding?" I was overjoyed! The Holy Spirit had done His/Her work! This coming Sunday, March 1st, I will baptize this super young couple. The following Saturday March 7th, they will be married, knowing the real meaning behind a Christian wedding.

I would like to comment on posting my prayer request. I received a lot of encouragement, but the best had to be a young Christian who was just saved by four months who quoted something to the effect of this: It is much better to strive down the correct path then quiting and going down the incorrect path. In the long the pain is worse if we quit.
