The Jornada was the first color PPC I saw in person. I hate to say I was rather disappointed. I did not like the functionality. You must use the battery it is supplied with (no switching to AA's). It just didn't catch me well at all, I was not that impressed. Price wise it goes for $449 - $499 depending on where you shop.

The Compaq looked more promising. The screen was strange to see after looking at the Jornada, but I would say I have to like it better. It is hard to judge a screen under the lights of the store inside. The back light is actually a white light on the sides, very intresting to see when viewing sideways. It was a little slow, but that could be the floor model needing a reset (which it seemed like it did). They are available for $449 - $499 depending on where you go.
