Came from: Louisville, Kentucky (Dixie Highway area)

Story: Believed to have hatched in Spring of 1995. She was fully feathered, but had no sign of adult plumage. Generally this species gets its adult plumage after 15 months of age. She flew into a storm door of someone's residence, probably in pursuit of prey. The impact partially detached both of her retinas and she has no lower vision.
