we are currently working on getting a show at the Mercury Paw in Louisville for early June. stayed tuned.
Sound files hopefully still coming soon. Also, hopefully more pictures will be put up soon. Other than that, we are currently just practicing and working out some new material.
05.24.98: Connor's basement once again is the scene of some musical mayhem. This show was originally set up with a line up of Leon, Pound-WI, Neutrino and Saraswati. After an unfortunate series of events, Neutrino and Saraswati both cancelled. But the show must go on, and on it would go. We added Gertrude to the bill a few days before the show and were ready to rock on a beautiful Louisville Sunday evening. Gertrude opened the show with a nice 45 minute set of Archers-of-Loaf inspired music. Then came Leon. This show marked the debut of two new songs for us: This Is a Polarized Plug and Communicating at an Unknown Rate. After finishing up our longest set ever, the stage was then set for the boys of Pound-WI. They played a powerful set of their trademark noisey and emotion laden music. Also notable at this show was the Big K cola purchased for the show by none other than Alex of Autumn Lee and the sale of 7"s by Gertrude and all sorts of Pound WI merchandise. Connor's basement seemed to be turned into an Arabian bazaar of musical goodies. In summing up, a wonderful time was had by all and some great music was enjoyed by all. We just basically had a really great time.
03.08.98: Connor's basement resounds to the gutteral blasts of Connor's
moving vocals. This show was played with Autumn Lee, Hindsight and half-seas-over.
Highlights (other than all the bands' setlists which were all wonderfully
tasty) included a two-drummer jam with Alex and Brian of Autumn Lee and
Leon; the revealing of some unfinished and/or rare material from Autumn
Lee and Leon; and sodas for $0.25. Also notable was the first breakout of
the combination of two Leon hits "I Have Become a Blue Salmon"
and "The Four Noble Truths" (see LeonBase). We hope to be able
to play more shows like this in the future. Look for pictures of the event
coming soon!
01.09.98: Leon finishes final mixdown of their 3 song sampler tape. This tape consists of the top-40 hits "East By North-East (ExNE)," "I Have Become a Blue Salmon," and the untitled track known to fans as "Mellow Snippet" or "The Riverboat Song." For your copy of the sampler tape, mail a blank tape or money for a blank tape plus postage to Connor or Matt, both of whose addresses can be found on the Contact page.
01.04.98: Leon rocks Primizie's Pizza in Louisville, KY opening for Impasse, The Helgeson Story, Itch House, and The Locust after a months-long hiatus due to Matt and Connor going to college.
